Experts in Home & Business Removals

Over Twenty Years Experience

Professionalism is the forefront of our agenda from the first point of contact with you, all the way through to the day of your move, and of course the move itself. We have given you some fantastic tips to follow to help your house or corporate / business move flow as smoothly as possible and, as you can see from the images below, we take the upmost care of your belongings to ensure their safe, undamaged arrival at their destination. On board our vehicles there are various protective coverings and straps that stop surfaces damaging each other and items falling over during transit. Our team of experts are trained to lift and manoeuvre around corners and through difficult doorways-if its possible we will work out how!

There are many options available to you, including a dismantling and reassembling service. For a free, informal chat about how we can meet your removal needs please get in touch to obtain your free quote.

Based in Strood, Medway in Kent we are able to facilitate all your moving requirements to anywhere in mainland Britain: local or long distance moves are all part of what we do!

Planning Ahead

  • The most important thing to do is book your mover. Choose a company that you feel you can trust and will complete your move with the professionalism and care that you require
  •  Booking a member of CHECKATRADE is, of course, a step in the right direction
  •  Confirm with your mover that you are both clear on the services offered and expected. Dismantling, re-assembling, packing etc
  •  Either confirm insurance arrangements with your mover or check with your present household contents provider
  • If you are going to have a de-clutter and clear out, now is a good time. It may be easier to order a skip for a week to save on multiple trips to your local council tip
  •  At least a month before the move you need to alert service providers etc, notify change of address to the following: Business accounts, Bank accounts, Dentist, Optician, Vet, Telephone, Water, Gas, Electric, Credit cards, Insurances, DVLA, Passport, Newspaper and milk, Send change of address cards to friends and family, Book post office to redirect mail, Inform tv and media suppliers
  • Security tip: When you move there is always the risk that junk mail delivered in your name could be used by criminals to obtain credit cards etc in your name. To stop this happening contact the Mailing Preference service on 0845 703 4599

Removal Tips: On the day

  • Arrange to have young children and pets looked after by someone on the day of the move
  •  Arrange to have tea/ coffee and biscuits with kettle, cups and milk for yourselves (and the hard working removal team)
  • Please ensure you have arranged for your fridge and freezer foods to be packaged in cool bags / boxes and that you are able to transport these contents yourself as we are not insured to carry these goods
  • Take with you in your car all monies, jewellery and small valuables
  •  Keep all keys to your house, garage and sheds handy and labelled for the new owners
  •  When the removers have finished do a walk round check with them to ensure nothing has been left that needs to be taken

Good Vibrations

Teamwork and communication is key to a stress free move for you. This is our policy from day one and begins from our initial contact right through to move day. As you can see from this image of us moving a customer's jukebox,

Every precaution is made to protect your property against damage, even in the poorest of weather conditions. Carpet runners are used to protect against damage from water damage and soiling, lessening the stress of us having to wear outside boots indoors as we go about your move. These strategic measures really do work effectively.

Furniture Covers

Sofa covers are just one type of protective bags we used. We also carry dining room chair covers, mattress covers and furniture blankets that are used to protect your belongings from damage. The added bonus of covers, such as the one shown in the image here is that they also protect doorways from damage, especially from the larger items.

Safe Travels

Often there's an item that requires that little bit of extra attention, such as this safe. If you have an item too heavy for us to physically carry please inform us on the outset in order that we can allocate vehicle space and bring the correct carrying equipment with us on the day.
